Who We Are
The WJCMS is a professional choir and orchestra committed to producing chamber music concerts of the highest quality that are easily accessible to residents and visitors to Southern New Jersey. Past productions have presented works by Mozart, Haydn, Dvorak, Chopin, Liszt, Ravel, Rachmaninoff, Stravinsky, and several lesser-known composers.
Our Experience
In the 2022–23 season, we celebrate over 40 years of bringing affordable, classical music performances to audiences in South Jersey. Under the leadership of music director Joel Krott, the professional musicians of the West Jersey Chamber Orchestra and Chorale bring their amazing skills and sense of musical style to the works of leading composers from the U.S. and Europe.
Music Director

Joel Krott
Our commitment to high standards begins with Music Director Joel Krott. A graduate of the Philadelphia Music Academy, he has studied and traveled throughout Europe, including extensive musical research with renowned masters from the Royal Conservatory of Copenhagen and the Vienna Conservatory. Joel has guided the West Jersey Chamber Music Society since its inception in 1980, creating 40 seasons of world-class music that challenge and inspire both supporters and musicians. He has also provided first-class music and chorale training to hundreds of children in our communities – many of whom have thriving musical careers.
